Touching scenes unfolded on 'The One Show' as host Alex Jones had to fight back the tears when discussing a particularly poignant moment on the BBC programme.

On Wednesday (November 13), Alex, along with her colleague Roman Kemp, returned to the beloved green sofa for yet another action-packed instalment. They were graced by the presence of Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley, soon followed by an inspiring visit from Emily, a determined participant from the Children in Need challenge team.

Emily, just 21 and a North London native, relies on a wheelchair and walking sticks for mobility. She embarked on a walk down the famous avenue of trees to fundraise for Children in Need.

After conquering her three-day trek, Emily shared details of the challenging conditions with Alex and Roman back in the studio's warm atmosphere," reports Wales Online.

Moved deeply by Emily's fortitude, Alex struggled to maintain her composure as she praised her: "You can't even see on camera, I don't think, but when I watched you today, gosh, doing the long walk, honestly, it's so hard. It's so hard!"

Alex pressed on, questioning: "I think it's one of the hardest challenges I've seen on Children in Need and you did it. How does it feel now that you've taken it on and you've absolutely conquered it?"

In response, Emily said: "It feels so good to have completed it because there was a part of me that really thought I couldn't, especially because I got sick just before. But I feel amazing to have completed it and I'm really proud of myself."
