For us summer babies, when the seasons change it's difficult to come to terms with the nights closing in, the rain and wind battering down our windows, and the biting chill in the air; our season has officially ended. And normally, this would fill me with sorrow as someone who lives in bohemian floaty dresses, linen shorts and sandals from May through to September. However, this year is slightly different.
The reason is because I've bagged myself a real gem for autumn and with the temperature suddenly plummeting this week, I've been wearing it each and every day - it's safe to say it's become my most treasured autumn piece. It is this beautiful, cosy quilted jacket from Nobody's Child, which has just launched as part of its new autumn/winter collection.
Priced at £125, the Floral Reversible Quilted Jacket is somewhat of an investment piece but one I believe is totally worth it because it is not only adorable and pretty with its floral embellishments but it's super cosy and warm; it's a true statement piece that perfectly marries practicality and beauty, reports MyLondon.

Made entirely of breathable organic cotton, this floral-patterned jacket has been crafted with understated padding and a diamond texture to add a lovely finish, meaning that, unlike many padded puffer coats, your style won't be compromised and it'll be an addition to your outfit, rather than a (relatively boring) cover-up.
The quilted jacket, featuring a round neckline, drop shoulders, long sleeves and pockets, exudes elegance with an open design - although if I wanted to fasten it, I have a brooch in mind that would do the trick. But that's not the best bit.
It's fully reversible. Meaning I can change up my looks with just one item depending on my outfit.
It offers numerous styling options thanks to its one side displaying a close-knit ditsy flower pattern bathing the jacket in pinks and greens, complete with black trim piping on the hem and pocket. The other side presents a larger floral pattern against a sophisticated black backdrop that dances with pops of pink and green. It's simply gorgeous.
And as autumn and winter approach, it's is such a staple piece that can zhuzh up a plain outfit - like a white T-shirt and jeans or a light jumper (in colder climates).
Having received a bunch of compliments from friends after wearing it constantly, I'm certain it will sell quickly so snap it up before you're disappointed!
Now, one thing to note about this jacket is that, like many Nobody's Child items, it tends to be on the larger side. The website suggests sizing down if you prefer a snugger fit, and I agree. While I didn't follow this and I chose my usual size S specifically so I could wear a jumper underneath during the cold December days - which works perfectly - wearing it, I could've gone down a size if I wanted.
The brand's latest A/W collection is, as expected, gorgeous and so if this jacket's floral design doesn't make your heart skip a beat as much as it did mine, Nobody's Child has you covered. More of a leopard print lover? This quilted number follows the same design as my beloved floral jacket but is adorned in animal print to pack a punch. More of a classic trench coat fan? This £149 khaki single-breasted trench coat is simply stunning. They even have a cute cropped version in a beautiful camel colour for £129.
But, if you're more into florals and don't want to spend £125, this ASOS DESIGN cotton quilted jacket in ditsy floral print is priced at £60 and will add a lovely splash of colour to any outfit. Alternatively, Seasalt Cornwall's Pure Cotton Floral Quilted Jacket is available at M&S for £85.95.
