Katie Price has told her fans that one of her cats simply "disappeared" as concern grows over her ability to care for animals.

The 46-year-old mother-of-five has sparked furious backlashes over the years after a number of animals - ranging from dogs to horses - have died while in her care. The OnlyFans star has also witnessed the deaths of a number of cats - leaving some fans fearing that she won't take good care of her most recent additions to her family; two hairless Sphynx kittens.

Some fans have signed petitions to have Katie banned from owning animals - and even animal rights charities have hit out at the star over her shocking track record. Now the star has risked riling up her fanbase again after claiming one of her pet cats simply wandered off, never to be seen again.

She made the confession while fielding questions from social media followers in an online Q&A session. One fan asked the star if her cats were unwell after one of them wandered into shot while she spoke to her followers via a video.

According to The Sun, Katie commented: "No, the cats aren't sick. No, Craig, Hagrid at my old house, he was like eight or nine. He just disappeared, didn't come home one night. It's really sad. They say cats wander off, don't they, when they want to pop off."

Previously, Katie had braced herself for a backlash from her followers when she introduced her latest kittens to fans online. In a video, she said, speaking to the cats: "Can you see him? What are you all doing? Hey, what are you all doing down there? Hey, are you playing? Are you perming? They look so cute." Then addressing someone off-camera, she quipped: "Oh, Tony. I know, I'm gonna sit down and you're all gonna come on me. I know. I love it."

Katie has been slammed by animal rights charity People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) who have campaigned for the star to be banned from owning animals. Founder Ingrid Newkirk previously told The Sun: "If there was a way to file an injunction to stop this serial animal killer, PETA would do so, as this woman doesn’t care about the lives she wastes or listen to vital advice and is still treating live animals like stuffed toys: as disposable.

"If William Hill took totally tasteless bets, the odds would favour those betting on how little time this kitten has on Earth, given the hideous track record of animal deaths in Price’s custody. No one could call it 'care'." Over the past six years, Katie has revealed that a number of animals have died while she owned them - including five dogs, a horse, and even a chameleon named Marvin.
