Maura Higgins made sure to stock up on her essentials before flying out to Australia.
The Love Island star, 33, is expected to be a late arrival on this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!. Earlier this week the official lineup for this year's show was revealed, with Maura absent from the list of celebrities taking part. However, she is rumoured to be a late arrival to the Australian jungle camp along with author Reverend Richard Coles.
It has been reported Maura and Richard would be jetting out later in order to keep their appearances under wraps. Maura has been preparing herself for the stint as she treated herself to a handful of vapes. She appeared in high spirits as she clutched three packets of vapes while leaving her manager's office.
The TV star also showed off her glowing tan and went make-up free for the outing. Maura wore a long grey trench coat and baseball cap as her brunette locks were styles in soft curls. She was seen bidding her team farewell ahead of her time Down Under. It appears Maura has been wanting to spend time with those close to her as she was seen out with Pete Wicks on Monday.
Maura and Strictly Come Dancing star Pete, 36, enjoyed a glam date night in London ahead of her departure, and she looked stunning in a black velvet waistcoat and a white ruffled skirt. Pete looked dapper in a black suit and black polo neck, with his brunette locks tied up in a loose bun.
The hot new couple kept their distance from each other as they arrived at the London Palladium. Maura revealed her romantic night out with Pete involved an endless stream of tears - but not because she is going to have to wave goodbye to the reality star in order to jet to Australia.
Taking to Instagram, the Love Island beauty revealed that she and Pete had taken in an evening of music - which left her overcome with emotion. The duo attended the London Palladium theatre to watch 68-year-old Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi in his current UK tour.
They have yet to reveal too many details of their romance yet Maura spoke about her relationship with Pete during an interview on the We Need To Talk podcast with Paul Brunson. She said she had a real connection with the former The Only Way Is Essex star and that they had been friends since she left Love Island in 2019, and had only recently taken their friendship to the next level. “We just get on very, very well. I adore him, he’s an amazing person,” she explained.
“Do you know what's so weird? We met very soon after me coming off Love Island and we just instantly clicked. Our humour is the same. It’s like that sick, dark humour. It's very abusive. We abuse each other. Very nasty, it’s hilarious,” Maura laughed.
